These quick dessert recipes are great for a low budget or an unexpected craving for something sweet. They are high in protein, therefore they will leave you full as well. It is not necessary to slave away for hours in these circumstances, but sometimes a simplicity like a smoothie will just do.
The quick microwave desserts are also great when you are making them for 1 or 2 people, and believe me, they are not different from any other baked dessert. I make them all the time when it’s just my husband and me. A mug cake with ice cream or custard takes care of that sweet tooth.

Of course, I don’t always whip up banana bread in a wink😊, but a banana bread smoothie in a glass will give me the same satisfaction. The milk and yogurt are the sources of protein for this smoothie. Enjoy!
Buckwheat banana cake
The buckwheat banana cake is another spin of mug cakes. A few minutes in the microwave, and voila! you enjoy the delicacy of this dessert. The flax-seeds are a very good source of Protein, and do not contain any of the bad fats.
Cookie dough, when done right can be a quick dessert. The cottage cheese add to the chunky texture and protein content of the recipe. It is surprisingly delicious.
